The UK Sustainability Reporting Standards are here. For businesses in the UK, they represent a step-change in sustainability reporting and a significant compliance challenge. However, for those businesses that embrace the challenge, a strong disclosure represents an opportunity to build credibility with investors, regulators and other stakeholders.

What is UK SRS?

The UK Sustainability Reporting Standards were published in 2026, requiring businesses to disclose material climate-related risks and opportunities in a structured, standardised way. Aligned with the international ISSB S1 and S2 frameworks, they represent a significant step up from the TCFD-aligned rules they will replace. They require a more rigorous scenario analysis, full disclosure of emissions and explicit links between sustainability disclosures and financial statements.

While the standards currently apply on a voluntary basis, an ongoing FCA consultation is expected to the final scope for mandatory reporting by Autumn of 2026, with disclosure for in-scope companies due from 2027.

What we do

We’ve built our UK SRS practice on deep international experience, working with similar ISSB S1 and S2-aligned frameworks. We know what good looks like and we know what regulators and investors are actually looking for.

We work with you to:

  • Understand your disclosure obligations and identify gaps in your current reporting disclosures
  • Identify and assess your material climate-related risks and opportunities
  • Build the internal processes and governance structures your report will require
  • Produce a disclosure that meets regulatory requirements, while also telling a credible, coherent story to investors and other stakeholders

We believe that UK SRS is an opportunity for businesses. While the initial focus for many businesses will be on compliance, a well-constructed report can become the foundation for robust, ongoing approach to climate risk management that builds a more resilient future for your business.
